Day 1: Nairobi to Amboseli National Park
The safari begins and ends at the airport in Nairobi. You will be picked up from your hotel in Nairobi and embark on a journey to Amboseli National Park. Once we arrive at Amboseli we will check in at the lodge/camp where we will spend 2 nights. We will have our lunch thereafter and proceed for an afternoon game drive. The Park offers several wildlife environments, each with its own array of animals.
Day 2: Amboseli Full Day game drive
You will wake for early morning game drive and this early morning is one of the best times to see Mt Kilimanjaro. An early morning light reveals the Mountain, turned into a dark hue of purple while its snow turns into an earth-real pink. Get to enjoy the sight of the mountain high above, with herds of elephants crossing the Amboseli plains which is a timeless safari phenomenon. We shall be in search of elephants, giraffes, zebras, lions, cheetahs, warthogs, ostriches and many others throughout the day. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge/camp.
Day 3: Amboseli Park Morning Drive, Departure to Tsavo West National Park
The day begins with an early morning drive to try spot animals that we may missed during the safari. This includes big cats like lions who do their hunting early in the morning. Similarly, spot any wildlife you may have missed as you complete your tour. Later head back to the lodge for breakfast before departing for Tsavo West National Park. We head across the Chyulu hills to Tsavo West National Park.
Arrive in time for lunch. Have lunch at the lodge and enjoy the stay at the facility. Later we proceed for an afternoon game drive at the park. visit to the Rhino Sanctuary, a safe haven for the area’s black rhino. The sanctuary, although only open from 4pm to 6pm each day, provides a rare glimpse into the protected habitat of these animals that have been threatened by extinction since the 1980s due to overhunting. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge/camp.
Day 4: Tsavo West Full Day Game Drive
The day begins with breakfast at the hotel. We then head for a game drive into the largest park in Kenya, famous for its wildlife diversity. Get to view herds of animals like elephants, giraffes, kudus, zebras, dik diks, lions, leopards, cheetahs, among others. Tsavo West is also well known for its one-of-a-kind volcanic features, including the ‘Five Sisters,’ the five cone-shaped hills nestled in one area and resembling one another.
Get to visit the Mzima springs, a phenomenal fresh water body that gushes suddenly from underground rocks in the midst of dry patchy woodlands. From the safety of an underwater observation tank, you will have a fantastic opportunity to see submerged hippo, crocodiles and fish on the floor of the springs. Have lunch in the bush and spend the entire day on game drives. Later dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 5: Early Morning Game Drive, Return to Nairobi
The day begins with an early morning drive to try spot animals that we may have missed during the safari. This includes big cats like lions who do their hunting early in the morning. Similarly, revisit those destinations that might have interested you. Sp
ot any wildlife you may have missed as you complete your tour. Later head back to the lodge for breakfast before departing Tsavo West National Park and head back to Nairobi.
